Jen & Tim – Wedding date 09/19

Pink.   Pink is her signature color.  Jen & Tim (maybe I should leave Tim out of this) pulled off an ultra chic pink wedding and I couldn’t be happier.  Jen is a fun, spunky, lady who knows what she wants.  She  added her flair in many fun ways.  The reception was held at The Calhoun Beach Club in Minneapolis.  Admittedly, these pictures are from my cell phone – never said I was a photographer!  Hopefully more pictures (and details) will follow, including some of the happy couple.

Tricia & Tom – Wedding Date: 8/29

This couple wasn’t messing around.  They went from engaged to married in one month.  Yes, one month!  We managed to pull off a beautiful backyard affair in about two weeks.  Tricia & Tom wanted a simple yet classy wedding that focused on the celebration of their marriage.

This weeks important tip!

Please make sure that your groom, groomsmen, and ring bearer DO NOT leave the tux shop without looking in the bag.  They need to make sure everything they ordered is in the bag.  Better yet, have them try on the contents of the bag at the store.  This will ensure that anything missing or not fitting will be taken care of 1-2 days before the wedding.  Putting on your attire for the first time 20 minutes before the ceremony is a recipe for disaster!

On August 16th, 2008 I was lucky to work with this great couple. Their wedding was an enchanted evening under the sea and every detail was perfectly chosen to tie the event together. The reception was held at Discovery Bay in the Minnesota Zoo.

The cake, complete with sea horses, crabs, and a puffer fish was exquisitely created by Gateaux Inc.

Happy 2009!

As we welcome 2009 we look forward to refreshing new changes in all of our lives.  Whether it be welcoming a new president into office, working on accomplishing new year’s resolutions, or planning a life changing event such as a wedding, 2009 will be a great year!

My change?  Blogging.  As I embark on this new and foreign concept, I hope to bring fresh and interesting topics.

I must give a huge thanks and congrats to all of Vanessa Sexton Events 2008 brides…we had some amazing clients who tied the knot this year.  I want to wish each and every client a lifetime of wedded bliss! It was my honor and pleasure to work with you and I am so happy to call you my friends.

As for my 2009 brides…I am elated that your year is finally here. I promise to continue delivering only the best in service to you! I want you to enjoy your remaining months of engagement and allow Vanessa Sexton Events to take some of the burden off your shoulders.
